We know parking bays come in all shapes and sizes, and that many of them deserve an independently designed string (with cross sections attached to the string to describe the kerb shape of the parking bay). For those parking/bus or widening bays that can be readily described with cross section edits, we’ve added a new variation to the Insert Parking Bay command.
This new variation allows you to insert a parking bay and then apply a custom cross section to the kerb return. This is particularly useful for bays that have a non-standard shape or require a specific kerb profile.
The process is simple:
- Select the Insert Parking Bay command.
- Choose the new “Custom Variation” option.
- Define the parking bay geometry as usual.
- Select a pre-defined cross section or create a new one to apply to the kerb return.
This new feature provides greater flexibility and control over your parking bay designs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in your civil engineering projects.
